5th Annual "Spring Break 300"

One Loft Race

This is one of the toughest race courses in the US.
Normal speeds for this course average 900 to 1200 YPM.
Many race days will have 10-20 MPH headwinds.

Three races, four ways to win:

1 - The 150 mile race will be flown March 12th 2011(weather permitting).  

2 - The 200 mile race will be flown March 19th 2011(weather permitting).  

3 - The final 300 mile race will be April 2nd 2011(weather permitting).

4 - Average Speed will be calculated on these three races.

Payout:  The 200 and 300 mile races will be based on total number of entries:

    75% of the entry fees will be paid out in the 300 mile race.
    15% will be paid out on the 200 mile race.
     0 % will be paid out on the 150 mile race.
    10 % will be paid out on Average Speed
      AVERAGE SPEED will be awarded to the top 3 birds as follows:
      1st- 50%    2nd- 30%    3rd- 20%  

*    Accepting birds 4/15/10 to 7/01/10 - Replacements until 8/1/10

*    Entry Fee: $175/bird, Perch $100/bird single or $550.00 per 6 bird team ($92.00 per bird)
      — over 300 perches available. 

*    100% of entry fees will be paid out in prizes.

*    The $100 perch fee must be paid for all single entries

*    All perch fees must be sent with the birds (No exceptions)

*    Entry fee's are due after the 100 mile toss and must be paid before the 150 mile race or your bird will not be eligible to go to race, The bird will then become property of the Spring Break 300.  If your bird is not in the loft or can not go to the 150 mile race, your entry fee will be refunded.

*    On the 200 mile race, all birds in the first drop take 20% of  the entry fees and are paid equally.  In the event that it is a large first drop, or the first drop can not be determined  the first 20 birds through the hole will be paid equally.

*    On the 300 mile race the first drop will be paid as group, all birds after that will be paid through the hole.

*    Monthly inventories taken. Regular loft updates, inventories, and training results via e-mail or web site.

*    Benzing electronic clocking system will be used. The clocking order will be determined by the Benzings print out order..

*    All pools and Calcutta's are paid through the hole.

*    The Spring Break will retain 15% of all pools and Calcutta's.

*    All birds become property of the breeder after the 300 mile race.  If the birds are to be shipped, the breeder is responsible for the cost of shipping.

*    All birds will be vaccinated for PMV, quarantined and medicated on arrival.

*    Chisholm Trail Health Program will be used.

*    The race directors will settle all unforeseen circumstances and their decision is final..
