Hi Everyone,

What a beautiful day it turned out to be for our 300 Mile race. We had temps in the high 60's .

We had a 1 bird drop for first place today. Our congratulations go out to Ray Jones. His little BBWF hen, SLI-958, arrived at 3:44 all by herself. She took a look at the crowd and hit the landing board and was in the loft. As soon as she trapped we had another 13 birds circle and hit the landing board and roof for the second drop they all trapped very fast. It ended up being a great race. As of this writing we have 50 birds on the clock. Congrats to the following breeder that were on the second drop.

2. Dylan Tucker
3. Sam Haslem
4. Matt Weisbrook
5. Paul Rueter
6. Preston McGirr
6. Wally Soriano
8. Alex Bieche
9. Matt Weisbrook
10. Kevin Willden
11. Harmeet Singh
12. Cliff Jayben
13. Joe Nemelka

Thanks to everyone that entered birds in this years race. Daniel and I really appreciate your support. We will start take birds for the 2012 Spring Break race in two weeks. Remember send you tough ones!!

Thanks

Randy/Daniel

April 12, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Well after two weeks of weather delays it looks like Saturday will be race day. Yes!!! Right now we plan on basketing birds on Friday afternoon around 5:00 pm. The birds will be released Saturday morning at 8:00 am from McCammon, Idaho. The weather is suppose to be cloudy at release and partly cloudy along most of the race course with wind out of the north at 3 to 6 mph.

The birds have been to 30 miles twice this week. Hopefully that has kept them ready for the 300.

We have decided not to do pooling this year but still plan on doing loft Calcutta's for those of you that are interested. Those of you that sent extra money for pooling we will return your money after the race. If you don't plan on attending and want to be involved in the Calcutta give us a call or email and let us know you are interested.

Julie and Breezy plan on preparing a great lunch on Saturday for those of you that want to attend. It will basically be the same as other years with Roast Beef Turkey, homemade rolls and lots of desserts. If you know for sure you will be here please let us know so we have some idea of how much food to prepare,

Good luck to everyone and thanks for your patients and participation. Let us know if you have questions.

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

Hi All,

Daniel and I have been looking at several weather forecasts for Sunday and Monday and right not neither day looks to give the birds a fair chance to get home in good race time. Looks like both days have potential for moderate/high headwinds and snow/rain showers along the majority of the course. As much as we hate to continue delaying the race we have decided to wait until next week. We don’t know the exact day yet but Thursday or Friday looks like they may work although that may change as we get closer. We will plan on a couple of more short trainings and will try to give all of you at least two days advanced notice on the day we will fly the 300.

Hang in there everyone!! It will happen.... We will try to get a payout posted tonight or tomorrow for the 200/300 and average speed positions.

Thanks!!

Randy/Daniel

The I-Pigeon auction will end Sunday night at 8:00 pm mountain time.  NO LIVE AUCTION...

April 08, 2011

Hi Everyone,

At the risk of sounding old and forgetful I have to say I have never seen a Spring in Southern Utah with weather like we are dealing with this year.  Today we have 6 inches of fresh new snow on the ground and still snowing with more predicted for tonight and tomorrow.   It has been a nightmare trying to decide when to fly the 300 mile race.  We have really lucked out weather wise the last 4 years we have flown the race.  We are still looking at flying Sunday or Monday but can't make a decision for sure until tomorrow after we look at the forecast again.  Its been changing by the hour and not for the good.  The other option is to fly next week or weekend but the birds will be sitting around for another week which may not be too good for them.  I will email you all tomorrow when we decide for sure.

We have one bird that has not been paid for and is still here.  It is FH-1077.  We have had a couple of flyers express interest in bidding on it to fly in the race.  If you are interested in this bird let me know what you would like to bid.  This is a one bid option so give me your best bid the first time.  It will start at $175.00 which is the price of a normal entry fee.  If it goes for more that $175 that money will be added to the prize money and will be paid out on the 300 mile race.  I will close the bidding on this bird at 5:00 pm tomorrow 4/9 and let everyone know who the high bidder is.

Thanks!!

Randy/Daniel

April 6, 2011

HI Everyone,

Daniel and I have been watching 5 different weather forecasts and guess what, none of them are the same.  What a surprise!!  Right now we are planning to basket for the race Sunday evening at 5:00 pm and fly the 300 on Monday 4/11.   The majority of the forecast are calling for partly cloudy skies on Sunday and  Monday with variable winds.   As you go later in the week it gets to far out for any of the forecasts to be very accurate and we really don't want have the birds setting around for another week.  We will get a short 30 mile training in prior to the 300.

I just got off the phone with Alex Bieche and we have decided to cancel his visit for this year.  We will try again next year.  Alex has been great through all of these changes and I appreciate his patients.

The auction we currently have on I-pigeon will end either Saturday night or Sunday night so pay attending to the ending date if you are interested in bidding.  It will not be live and will end as normal on I-Pigeon.  Fred Smeltzer is trying to change the day to Sunday evening and have it end with the rest of the birds but that hasn't been done as of now.

I know this make is hard on anyone that wants to come for the race but we kind of had to let mother nature tell us what we could do.  Please let me know if you will be here for the basketing and race day so we can plan on the food for Monday.  If we have enough folks we will still go the the Timberline Restaurant Sunday night for supper.

Good luck everyone!!! Let me know if you have other questions.

April 03, 2011

Hi Everyone,

We woke up this morning to 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground and temps in the low 40's !!  It was 70 degrees in Beaver yesterday.  Spring time in Utah is interesting.

In this day of internet access and weather forecasting I'm sure many of you have looked at the long range forecast for this coming weekend.  It doesn't look good!!  Things can change as you all know but as of today and what I am seeing in the forecast we may not be able to pull off  the race this weekend.  We will make a decision for sure on that by Wednesday and let you all know our thoughts.

This is making it real tough on us and our guest speaker Alex Bieche.  If we have to cancel this weekend we will probably have to cancel Alex for this year and just fly the 300 when the weather allows.  Each time we cancel the day its cost extra money to reschedule the airplane ticket and shuffle everyone's schedule again.  We don't feel like that is fair to Alex and will not do that to him again.

The bottom line to all this is that we will not risk sending the birds to the 300 on a questionable day.  They already went through that on the 150.  I know many of you can't schedule your days off on a moments notice so we may not get lots of you at the loft for the final race if we fly in the middle of the week.  We will try to give everyone at least 3 days notice of race day.  It looks like that’s the best we can do right now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.   Let me know if you have questions..

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

Hi Everyone,

We had 6 birds on the drop from the 200 mile station. They arrived at approximately 12:05 pm. Congrats to the owners of these birds. The speed for today's race was 1486 ypm for the winning bird. Here is the clocking order.

1. BVR-10130-- Craig Mitch Willden

2. AA-47634-- Daniel Condie

3. I-58018--Charlie Paparello

4. JEDD-23390--Will Fonte

5. UCA-0081--Hogan/Dansie

6. DWI-0737--Harmeet Singh

These birds will split equally the prize money for the 200 mile race. As of tonight we have 84 birds in the clock and I am sure we will get several more tomorrow.

We also have one breeder that has decided to stop payment on his check for his entries. That not only took money from the total prizes available but cost us a penalty charge from the bank, We just found out today. His bird ( FH-1077 ) will be auctioned off the night of basketing for the 300 mile race. His bird was the 73rd bird home today.

The long range weather forecast for the 300 mile race next weekend is not looking good. We will keep an eye on this for the next few days and let everyone know what our plans are.

Thanks Everyone!!!!

Randy/Daniel

March 31, 2011

Hi Everyone,

The birds went up at 8:00 am into clear skies, winds out of the south at about 5 mph. Weather here is clear with winds at 0-5 mph out of the north. Should be good today.

Talked to Daniel on the phone this morning. He said to tell all you northern Utah folks that you can keep the traffic up there. He hit some rush hour traffic. Sound like there is also lots of construction along the 1-15 corridor. Daniel met Sal Rodriguez at the Clearfield exit to pick up his auction bird. He said it was good to meet Sal. Thanks for the donation Sal.....

Good Luck everyone!!!

Hi Folks,

The 200 mile race will be released tomorrow morning at 8:00 am, from Ogden, Utah.   Should be a great weather day for the race.

Good Luck everyone!!

March 28, 2011

Folks,  We are planning on a training from Kanosh tomorrow morning.  The results will be on Wincompanion.  The 200 mile race from Ogden, Utah,  will be on Thursday March 31st.  That day looks to be as good as we can get.  The weather is predicted to be clear with a bit of a north (tailwind).

We have 380 birds that have been paid for.   If all the checks clear the bank, we will have a little over $10,000  available for the first drop birds on the 200 mile race.  That is 15% of the total prize money.  If the first drop has over 15 birds then the first 15 birds through the trap will share the prize money equally.  Lets hope for a great race and good returns....

Good luck everyone!!!

Randy/Daniel

March 26, 2011

HI Everyone,

We did a 25 mile trainer from Cove Fort this morning.  The birds beat us home!!  We did not set up Wincompanion for this training but will on the next training.  We have another small storm front that will pass  through the area until Sunday and then next week looks great until Saturday April 2.  We will do another trainer Monday or Tuesday then the 200 mile race will either be Thursday or Friday.  We want to pick a day for the 200 that gives us two fairly good days to get the birds home.

We haven't had any additional birds come in since Tuesday.  We have 160 birds on the clock but one of those birds was injured and will not fly the rest of the races.  We have notified that breeder and he will pick the bird up on the 300 mile race.

We will let you know for sure what day we decide to do the 200.  Let me know if you have questions...

Thanks

Randy/Daniel

March 23, 2011

HI Everyone,

Here is our tentative plans for the 200 mile race. We looked the birds over tonight and they are looking great and have recovered well. There are about 5 or 6 birds that need a little TLC but they should be ok. We plan on a short training this Sunday or Monday. This will probably be a 35 mile toss. If the weather cooperates we will fly a 60 or 70 mile toss on Wednesday March 30th and the 200 mile race will be Friday April 1st. We are planning this based on the extended weather forecast so those days may change a day or two. With a little luck we should be in good shape for the 300 mile Race on April 9th.

Some of you have asked about payouts for the remaining races and average speed birds. We are waiting to make sure all the checks clear the bank. When we are sure of what we have we will post the payout for the 200 and 300 mile races. Right now it looks like we will have around 385 paid entries.

Alex Bieche has made travel arrangements and will be here for the race on April 9th. If you plan on attending for the 200 or 300 mile race please let me know so we can make sure we have plenty of food and refreshments available.

Thanks for you support everyone!! I have had some uplifting phone calls and email support the last few days. You folks have been great!!!

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

March 19, 2011

Hi Everyone,

We would have liked to seen a lot more birds make it home today but with the conditions they had to fly in the last two days we felt pretty good about what made it home. The birds that came home yesterday and today are tough birds!! They deserve a few days of rest and we are going to make sure they get it.

Looking at the long range weather forecast for our area it looks like we are going to have wind, rain and or snow for the next 5 days. Typical spring weather for Utah. To get the training days we need to get to the 200 mile station along with a couple of short trainings would really press us to try and have the 300 on April 2nd. With that being said, we have decided to push back the 300 mile race one week and tentatively schedule it for April 9th (weather permitting). That will also give us a few more days to hopefully get a few more birds home. I hope that doesn't cause a problem for those of you who were planning on April 2nd. I talked to Alex Bieche (Guest Speaker) about the change and he is trying to arrange his schedule to make it on April 9th. Hopefully he can make that happen.

Like I said on last nights email this is the first time in 5 years we have had to deal with bad weather and a smash race. I think we will still have a great race series if we are a little patient with the birds in the next couple of weeks.

I want to congratulate Will Fonte for his first place bird yesterday. He will get 6 free perches to next years race. I looked at his bird today and it looks like it could fly the 150 again tomorrow. It’s a well bred bird.

I hope all of you understand. If you have concerns about the date change let me know.

Thanks

Randy/Daniel

March 18, 2011

Hi Everyone,

This is our 5th year running the Spring Break Race and we have never seen anything like today's results. Daniel said the weather at release was good. The wind was calm and there was some haze around the mountains but everything seemed ok. Obviously something wasn't right.

As sick as all of you are about todays returns I'll guarantee that there is two folks here at the loft that are worse!! That’s Daniel and I. We have spent 100's of hours with these birds over the last 9 or 10 months and we don't want to lose any of them. I think the weather played a big roll in todays results. We had headwinds that were not predicted to be here until late afternoon. They started about 1 hour after release and were steady at 15 to 20 mph all day. I don't know if that bothered the birds as much as the unexplained haze that set in from the release point to the loft. We don't know if the haze was dust in the air or just a lot of moisture. It was just a weird day all the way around.

I do expect that we will get more birds tomorrow but who know's how many!! Anyway, the race will go on. We will let you know when and where the next trainings will be. We have 52 birds home tonight. Lets hope for lots more tomorrow. We want to thank Von Dansie, Joe Nemelka, and Mark Hogan for coming to watch the bird be released this morning at Eagle Mountain.

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

March 18, 2011

Hi Everyone,

The birds were released at 8:16 am this morning. Weather at release was hazy and calm winds. Right now at the loft its hazy with headwinds. I expect a pretty tough day. We'll see what happens.

I have had some folks that can't find the race on Wincompanion. It is not listed on trainings. You to go to our web and go to Wincompanion. That will take you to the list of trainings. In the upper center of the page it has a button that says "Click here race results", that is where the race is listed.

Good luck everyone!!

Thanks!!!

March 14, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Daniel and I have been up at the loft doing a hand inventory. Wow! there are a lot of nice birds in this race. We are done with about half of the birds and so far everything looks great. I have only seen a couple of birds that look a little down. As we go through this inventory I will let you know if something looks wrong with your bird and we don't think it can continue training.

We have been watching the weather for the Saratoga Springs release area trying to decide what would be the best day for the 150 mile race. Tomorrow is forecast to be the best day this week but we had several birds come home late from the 70 mile toss on Sunday. Those late birds would probably not do well going out again this soon. Anyway, the next day that looks ok weather wise is Friday. We will plan on the 150 going up Friday morning and hope to get a short 30 mile training in this Wednesday morning. If that changes I will let you all know. If all goes well on the 150 we will fly the 200 mile race on the 24th, 25th, or 26th depending on the weather.

If you have questions please give us a call or email.

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

Randy/Daniel

March 12, 2011

Hi Everyone,

I have had a couple of breeders indicate that they would not be able to activate some or all of their birds. We could probably expect some of this due to our economy. Times are tough for lots of folks. Anyway, Here is what we plan on doing for those birds that we know are not being activated.

(1). The birds that we can activate prior to the 150 mile race (breeders will need to notify me they are not activating) will be auctioned first come first serve to those of you that may want to activate the bird. The cost of activation will be the $175 entrance fee. That bird will then become your property and will be eligible for the Average Speed, 200 and 300 mile prizes. I will notify you of the available birds and update the list each day until we fly the 150.

(2). Birds that are not paid prior to the 150 mile race will be auctioned off the night of basketing for the 300 mile race. We will continue to train these birds until the 300 mile race. They are not eligible for Average Speed, 150, or 200 mile prizes but they will be eligible for the 300 mile prize money if purchased by someone prior to shipping.

Here is what is available at this time.

SAM-90
SAM-91
SAM-84

You can email Sam Haslem for more info on these birds. Email him at sammy@infowest.com You can also check the trainings up to this point to see what they have been doing.

I will have more info on a couple of other birds soon. If you have questions please give me a call 435-691-3226.

Thanks

Folks,

I've had a few people ask who to make your entry fee check out too. Please send them to the following address:

Daniel Carter, P.O. Box 331, Beaver, Utah 84713. Check Wincompanion on our web site to make sure what birds are home from the 100 mile race. We have had 10 more come home today. There are 420 birds on the clock as of 12:50 PM today.

Thanks!!

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

Hi Everyone,

All in all I think today's 100 mile training went well. The first 250 birds came home fast and in bunches of 20 and 30 birds. We had one drop that was about 50 birds. It was fun watching wave after wave of birds coming in. The way things were going we thought we may get everything home within an hour or two. After that first 250 birds they just stopped coming for almost 1 hour and then they came all day long in one's, two's and three's. We are at 380 birds tonight and I expect we will see several more tomorrow.

If all goes well we will have the 150 mile Average Speed Race on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. We also plan on at least one short 40 or 50 mile training this weekend.

The pool sheets will go out tomorrow night after we see what returns. It is important that you check Wincompanion tomorrow night. If you have birds home get your entry fee's headed our way as soon as possible. If birds come home after tomorrow we will let you know and give you some extra time for the entry fee's to get here. For those of you that live on the east coast or mid west call us if you think your entries may not make it before the 150 mile race next week.

For those of you who have not been getting our email updates please let us know and we will get your email address on our list.

Thanks!!

Randy/Daniel

Tuesday, March 08, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Let the fun begin!! We will release the 100 mile training tomorrow morning at about 9:00 am, south and west of Nephi. The birds were trained 30 miles today to get them ready for tomorrow. We did not put the todays training on Wincompanion.

For those of you who checked our web today there were two trainings listed that had no birds on them. We found out later this morning that Terry Gilmore was doing some testing on Wincompanion from his home and didn't erase the tests when he was done. We had several phone calls wondering what was going on.

For your information, all entry fee's are due for the birds that return from the 100 mile training. The entry fee's are not refundable and are paid out 100% to the 200, 300 and Average Speeds winners! Daniel will send a pool sheet/entry form in the mail to everyone this week but to avoid being late it would be a good idea to check Wincompanion the next couple of days and pay the entry for your birds that show as returning from the training. The entry fee's will need to be to us prior to the 150 mile Average Speed Race or your birds will become the property of the Spring Break. If you have questions about this please give us a call.

Our 100 mile station is a tough training location. It's the first time the birds will need to fly over a mountain range and pick the right valley to get home. Tomorrow should be a great race day for the birds. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope we get a great returns.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Randy/Daniel

February 24 2011

Folks,

Here is a little update on what we plan on doing for training the next couple of weeks. We have another weather system that is scheduled to enter the state over the weekend. It looks like Monday or Tuesday will be our next chance to get in a training. We plan on doing a short training on the next available day. After that we will do a 70 or 80 mile toss probably mid week next week. We hope to have the 100 mile training by Saturday March 5th and 150 mile average speed race on Saturday March 12th.

If you have been watching Wincompanion the last couple of days you see that we have most of the birds back from the 50 mile training. Some of the birds that came home yesterday are down a little and will need a couple of days of rest so this will be good for them.

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

February 01, 2011

Hi Everyone,

We have Wincompanion up and running now. We have two test trainings on the site now. The weather was bad today so ran a few birds across the M-1 pads to make sure everything was working properly and shut down the training. It looks like the current weather system will be out of the area towards the end of the week so we will plan on a training either Thursday or Friday. We will let you know when that happens.

For those of you who have not tried to get into our web site to try Wincompaion here are a few direction on its use. Go to our web site and click on the Wincompanion button on the left side of our web page. It will take you to the training site. Just click on the live results button on the training you want to see. They are listed in the window. When you get to the training you want it shows the birds in reverse order so you will have to click on the standard race report button to see the birds listed from first to last. If you have troubles finding the training you want or can't get it to work give Daniel or I a call or flip us an email and we will try and help.

We want to thank Terry Gilmore for his time and patients in getting Wincompanion up and running on such short notice.

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

January 29, 2011

Hi Everyone,

After some discussion and investigation Daniel and I have decided that we will be using Wincompanion for all of our future training and race results. If all goes well Wincompanion will be up and running by early next week for the Spring Break Race. If you go to our web site you will see that we now have a button that will take you to the Wincompanion program for our race with our current breeder and bird information listed for this years race.

The Wincompanion program is being used by many of the popular one loft races in the country and offers some great benefits for us and all of our participants. Many of you are already familiar with it and know how to use it. If you are not familiar take a minute to browse the site.

Looking at the weather for the next few days we are suppose to have a storm front pass through Utah Sunday afternoon and Monday. Our next training will probably be Wednesday. We will let you all know when Wincompanion is up and running and give you all a head up for the next training.

Thanks for your patients!!

Randy/Daniel

January 24, 2011

HI Everyone,

E-loft is up and running. It took a little work but we finally got everything working the way we want. Anyway, we will have our first E-loft training for you to watch tomorrow morning from 30 miles. We will release the birds around 8:30 am mountain time. The birds have been to 25 mile 4 times and have done great so far. We will release the birds in three different groups so don't pay too much attention to arrival times.

Hi Everyone,

I thought it was time for another short update on how training is going. We will have the birds to 25 miles early next week and will have the results of each training toss on E-loft from then until the 300 race in April. I will send a note when a new training is posted. The birds have been tossed 15 times between 15 and 20 mile so they are getting ready to get some miles on them. We are holding steady at between 505 and 515 birds. Seems like we always have a few slow/late ones that usually start getting with it as we get farther down the road.

We are having a few issues getting E-loft up and running the way we want but should have all the bugs worked out soon.

The new section of the loft is roughed in now and will be open for the birds in a couple of weeks. I will send pictures when its completed.

Hope the new year is going great for all of you. Keep it touch and if you have any questions please email or call us..

Hi Everyone,

The new addition is starting to take shape. Daniel will have this section completed my mid January. This new section will give the birds an additional 150 to 200 new perches to enjoy.  We posted two new pictures of the new addition under the Pictures link on this site.

The birds are out to the ten mile release point and have been there two times. We are going through another real cold snap so we have stopped for a day or two. We will start again when the weather cooperates. As soon as we get to the 25 mile station we will have the results on
eLoft for you all to watch.

Happy new year everyone!!!

HI Everyone,

We finally got some good weather the last few weeks and got the birds down the road a few times.  They are doing great.

We are trying a new way to connect to E-loft to our laptop and haven't got it up and running yet.  We will have it working when we get the birds to 25 miles and you know when you can start following the trainings.

Daniel has a new loft section started to give your birds a little more room.  It should be ready in a couple of more weeks.

I will take some pictures in a day or two and get them on the internet for you to see.

We have started a reservation list on our web site and already have several new flyers wanting to participate in 2012.

Daniel and I want to wish all of you a happy holiday season and a great 2011.  As always,  if you have questions please don't hesitate to call or email us.

Thanks,

Hi Everyone,

It is definitely winter here in Beaver.  We have had unusually cold weather for November with temperatures in the single digits for the last few nights.  The birds are still getting out of the loft to exercise on the good days but we have not had a chance to get them down the road much,  We should get some good days in December and we will start our short toss's.  We will let everyone know when that starts.  The birds are still looking great and we have had minimal losses to hawks and wires this year.  Our numbers should be around 520 for the beginning of training.

Since we have moved the loft Daniel has been busy landscaping and getting things ready to add on to the loft.  For those of you that have been to our race in the past we moved the loft about 25 yard to the east.  That extra space between the birds and the spectators will be good for the birds on race days.

Daniel and I want to wish all of you a happy holiday season!!  Keep in touch..

Thanks,

Randy/Daniel

HI Everyone,

Time for a short update again. Most of the birds are through the body molt now and are looking like old birds. We have some super looking birds this year. The competition is going to be tough!!

We are planning on getting the birds down the road 10 to 15 miles this month. Most of that will be to get them use to the trailer and the idea of heading back to the loft. When we get to 25 miles, in late December or early January, we will start letting you know so those of you who are interested can watch E-Loft for training results.

It looks like we will be having Alex Bieche as our guest speaker for the 300 Mile race in April. Daniel and I are excited to have Alex and his wife here with us for basketing and the race. We will also have some nice auction birds, including several from Alex, that will be listed on I-Pigeon for two week prior to the race so those of you who can't be here for the race will have an opportunity to bid on some outstanding donated pigeons.

Keep in touch everyone and let us know if you have questions.

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would let all of you know where we are with our inventory. Daniel just completed a hand inventory of all the Spring Break Birds. He said all but two birds looked real good. Those two birds will get a little TLC for a week or two and they should be looking good again. The birds are finally getting through the molt and looking like what we expect. We are right at 520 birds so we are down a few from the original inventory. We have a few birds that are not scanning right or have wrong letters or numbers assigned in the clock. We will get those fixed and will send an inventory for everyone soon.

We attended the Plymouth Pro Challenge Race yesterday. It turned out to be a tough day with 4 birds coming in right at dark. The last time I checked they have right around 72 birds in today. Brads race is as tough as they come. For young birds to do this series of races they need to be tough and steady. Congrats to all the winners in this years race and to Brad Hoggan for doing a great job.

The Highlander Race in Wyoming has just completed their race series and had another tough but successful year. Congrats to Curt Spragg on his race and to all the winners there.

Let us know if you have questions!!

Thanks

I added a new URL, www.springbreak300.com hopefully it will be easier to remember when you want to find the Spring Break 300 web site.

The old URL will still bring up the web site, that won't change till after the race next year.

Thanks

HI Everyone,

Just a note to let you all know how the birds are doing. Most of the birds are going through a fairly heavy molt right now. Some of them look a little rough. We have been loft flying them regularly. We have been letting them out in two groups. This really helps us to avoid injuries from wires. We have had the regular problems with hawks but haven't lost too many to this point. Our plans are to get the birds out to 30 miles prior to the real cold weather in December. All the chip bands are on and the birds should be ready to start going in the trailer in a week or two. I will let you know when we start. As usual all of our trainings from 25 miles on will be on E loft for everyone to see.

Most all of you are in to the young birds season and flying the fall futurities. Hope that is all going well for you. I want to congratulate Tim Calerich on a successful "Spirit of Colorado Race".

We are starting to put plans together for race day on the 300 mile event. We hope to have someone special there for all to hear and as usual we will have our auction and lunch for all to enjoy.

Daniel and I are still busy enjoying the fall season and are about done with hunting for the year. I hope most of of you got to see the picture of Pat Ashton's Bull. Daniel helped Pat find the Bull on this once in a lifetime draw hunt. I know they had fun and lost lots of weight. I think Pat was happy to get back home to get some shut eye and relax a little.

Let me or Daniel know if you have any questions....

Thanks
